On 22nd October Tekkers Maldives concluded the Alif Alif zone of Tekkers Resort Cup. After a very heated final match against host’s Kuramathi Maldives, Veligandu grinded their way to victory in an intense penalty shoot out
For the Alif Alif finale, special guests from the two competing resorts joined to support their respective resorts.
In the final match, both teams struggled to score goals in normal time of the match. It was almost like team Veligandu felt no pressure from the home fans of team Kuramathi. In the final half, both teams looked to be so strong and patient but struggled to deliver the final pass.
In the penalty shootout, jersey number 6 of Kuramathi Maldives missed a crucial penalty and Veligandu Maldives took their opportunity immediately and called it game.
Veligandu Maldive’s Adam Mohamed wins the finals man of the match. The top 5 players of Alif Alif are Adam Mohamed from Veligandu Maldives, Mansoor Mohamed from Veligandu Maldives, Haneef Abdullah from Veligandu Maldives, Maahidh Ibrahim from Kuramathi Maldives and Mohamed Saain from Kuramathi Maldives.
