2 August 2022

Maziya Sports Club defeated Club Eagles by a wide margin of 5 goals to win the Dhivehi league for the third consecutive season.

With three games remaining, Maziya won the league with a total of 60 points in 21 games. Despite last night's stunning victory over Club Eagles, Maziya Sports club suffered their lone loss of the year against them. Additionally, they won 20 games during the entire campaign, scored 80 goals overall, and only let in a startling 5 goals.

More than half of Maziya's campaign in this season was under the direction of Serbian international Miodrag Jesic. The remainder of Maziya's game was seen by assistant coach Ahmed Suzeyr after Miodrag left.

Club Eagles, the league's runners-up, finished the season with 46 points after 21 games.
